THE SURROUNDINGS

Where the Estate Becomes the Experience

IT BEGINS AT BEARS DEN

At Bears Den, the outdoors isn't something you travel to experience. It begins just beyond the door.

Across approximately 30 acres, two private ponds connected to Lick Run, which flows through the estate, bring water, wildlife and recreation into the landscape. Fish the ponds and creek, hunt the wooded acreage, explore the property, or simply enjoy the privacy of a setting where the land is an essential part of everyday life.

WOODS & WATER

Two private ponds connected to Lick Run, which flows through the estate, create a remarkable relationship between land and water. Here, recreation begins on the property itself—with private waters for fishing and approximately 30 acres of wooded and open land offering opportunities to hunt, explore and experience the changing seasons.

FISH YOUR OWN WATERS

Fishing is part of the rhythm of life at Bears Den. Cast from the banks of the private ponds, follow Lick Run as it winds through the property, or simply enjoy the stillness of water woven into the landscape. Beyond the estate, the Lick Run watershed is recognized by Pennsylvania as high-quality cold-water habitat, with wild trout supported within portions of its stream system.

HUNT THE LAND

The wooded acreage of Bears Den offers the rare opportunity to step outside and hunt your own land. Pennsylvania's rich hunting tradition includes white-tailed deer, wild turkey and small game, creating the potential for memorable days in the woods without ever leaving the estate.

Hunting and fishing are subject to applicable Pennsylvania seasons, licensing requirements and regulations.

WILDLIFE AT BEARS DEN

The landscape is shared with some of its most memorable residents.

Three deer, including an adult and two fawns, are standing on a green lawn near trees and a stone building with a porch, in a wooded area.

From white-tailed deer moving through the grounds to foxes, black bears and other wildlife appearing along the woods and water, encounters with nature are part of life at Bears Den.
